Challenge a friend: pick the rider they'll have to guess — they get a link, with the answer kept hidden.

MotoGP Silhouette — Guess the MotoGP rider from their silhouette

MotoGP Silhouette hides a MotoGP rider's photo behind a full silhouette and reveals it piece by piece. Every wrong guess uncovers more of the image, so the earlier you solve it the higher your score.

The silhouette starts out completely blacked-out, with only the outline visible. After each wrong guess a new slice of the real photo is uncovered — faces appear gradually, letting you match the rider's features against your mental roster. Serious MotoGP fans can often guess from body shape or hair before any detail shows.

Only riders with a clean, recognisable photo appear in Silhouette mode, which keeps the puzzle fair. The answer pool overlaps with MotoGP Classic but is a little smaller — if you find Classic too stat-heavy, Silhouette is a more visual way in.

Completing today's MotoGP Silhouette keeps your Sportdle daily streak going alongside the other modes. Play unlimited rounds after the daily to sharpen your recognition.

Frequently asked questions

How does MotoGP Silhouette work?
A MotoGP rider's photo is hidden behind a silhouette. Each wrong guess reveals more of the photo. Solve it in as few guesses as possible to keep the silhouette level high.
Can I see the full rider photo if I give up?
Yes — when you solve the puzzle or use the give-up button the full photo is revealed along with the rider's details.
Why are some MotoGP riders missing?
Silhouette only includes riders with a high-quality, unambiguous photo. If a rider doesn't have a usable image they're excluded from this mode.
Does Silhouette share its streak with other modes?
Completing any daily Sportdle mode, including Silhouette, keeps your global Sportdle streak alive. Each mode also tracks its own streak separately.
Is MotoGP Silhouette like Wordle?
It uses the same idea as Wordle — a once-a-day puzzle with green/red feedback on each guess — but instead of guessing a word you guess a MotoGP rider from clues. Sportdle is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with Wordle or The New York Times. MotoGP Silhouette is one of several daily Sportdle modes.
