Why do some players have no rapid or blitz ranking?

FIDE tracks activity separately for each time control. A player active at classical but inactive at blitz keeps their blitz rating but drops out of the blitz world ranking, so that tile is omitted rather than shown as zero.

Are peak ratings shown?

No - FIDE's published rating lists carry only current ratings, so Stat Line shows current classical, rapid and blitz figures rather than career peaks.

Chess Stat Line shows a player's FIDE ratings and world rankings without their name. Read the classical, rapid and blitz numbers - then work out who you're looking at.

Cards show classical, rapid and blitz ratings alongside the corresponding world rankings. A player inactive in one time control keeps their rating but has no ranking, so some cards show fewer tiles than others.

The rating spread is often the giveaway: a 2700 classical player who is 2850 at blitz plays very differently from one who barely plays fast chess at all. Wrong guesses unlock contextual hints - continent, then federation, then birth decade, then title.
